Scheduling Gutter Cleaning

Clogged gutterHow often should I get my gutters cleaned?

Many people get by with a twice-a-year gutter cleaning. It really depends on the number of trees around your home and how often it rains. As the colder days start approaching, leaves, acorns, moss, and small branches start to fall into your gutters. If you let it sit too long rainwater eventually turn the debris into a compost like substance. Perfect for seeds to to grow and weed.  We have even seen the beginnings of small trees starting to grow in gutters themselves!

All that debris will eventually prevent water from flowing properly through your gutter system which results on standing water. When the water has nowhere to go it can start to penetrate your roof and the overflow pours down on to your foundation and landscaping.

As Tampa residents, we all know the summer / hurricane season between June and November are the most important times to be sure your gutters and downspouts are functioning properly so that water flows away from your home. Take notice of how your gutters are functioning. Are they overflowing with water spilling over the edges? If so, it’s time to have them checked and cleaned. AGS has $99 clean out specials throughout the summer months. Plus, the FREE Inspection will note any repairs that are recommended. If not, great! A thorough cleaning will do the trick.
